Commonwealth Spine and Pain Specialists welcomes Nurse Practitioner Rhonda Chambers to the team. She chose the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty to provide care to all types of individuals with all kinds of needs across the lifespan from birth to geriatrics. Rhonda is excited to be part of the team.

Rhonda ChambersMs. Chamber’s Education

A 1991 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rhonda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She went back to school and graduated from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2015 and then her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021. Upon graduation from VCU, she was awarded the Temple Memorial Award for possessing characteristics that demonstrate exemplary performance in the advocacy role for the consumer of health care services and the profession of nursing.​​ Rhonda was certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2021.

Ms. Chamber’s Love Of Nursing

Ms. Chambers chose the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty to provide care to all types of individuals with all kinds of needs across the lifespan from birth to geriatrics. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients. By partnering with her patients and their families, she works to help them build a healthier lifestyle and put the body in the best possible condition for healing. Her favorite memories with patients occur when she connects with them on a level where there is complete trust.

Ms. Chambers Holistic Approach

Ms. Chambers approaches her job as a nurse practitioner holistically, in partnership with the patient and healthcare team. She advocates a healthy lifestyle and works out at the gym every day, training with weights, cardio and flexibility. Ms. Chambers also practices yoga and meditation because she believes a healthy lifestyle is multifactorial and includes body, mind and soul. Ms. Chambers enjoys being part of a healthcare team dedicated to providing holistic patient-centered care. 

Ms. Chambers Outside The Office

Born in Fargo, North Dakota and raised in Moorhead, Minnesota, Ms. Chambers loves the Richmond area because the mountains, the ocean and Washington, DC, are all within driving distance. She has five children; four boys and one girl. Ms. Chambers enjoys working out at the gym, practicing daily yoga and meditation, laughing with family and friends, spending time with Shiloh, her horse, and learning new things.
